Leading Australian Immigration Firm

How Technogise modernized visa data collection, lodgement, invoicing, budgeting, and reporting over a multi-year engineering partnership.

Problem

A global provider of immigration and visa-application solutions needed to modernize a platform used by organizations, business travelers, and immigration professionals. At the start of the engagement, the platform supported visa data collection for Australia.

The existing operating model created friction for every party involved in a visa application:

  • HR teams shared employee information by email, which required manual updates and increased the risk of errors.
  • Personally identifiable information moved outside the platform, making secure document handling harder to control.
  • The system lacked invoicing, budgeting, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Immigration workflows needed to adapt quickly as global regulations and policies changed.
  • Visa lodgement required manual transfer of collected data into Australian immigration websites, slowing applications and increasing the chance of mistakes.

The client needed a platform that could support collaboration between immigrants, employers, and legal professionals while reducing manual work and improving visibility across visa cases.

Solution

Technogise entered a multi-year partnership of more than 3.5 years to design and implement the platform.

The core team included:

  • 3 technology consultants
  • 1 quality consultant
  • 1 UX consultant
  • 1 product consultant
  • Additional support as needed

The development team worked from Pune, India, with a client base in Australia.

Web application for collaborative visa case management

Technogise built a web application that brought immigrants, employers, and legal professionals into one workflow.

The platform included:

  • Streamlined data collection to reduce repeated manual entry
  • Automation for repetitive visa-application tasks
  • Secure document management for sharing PII inside the platform instead of over email
  • Configurable custom workflows to support different immigration needs and policy changes
  • Xero integration for invoicing and budgeting from one interface
  • Integrated reporting for visibility into visa statuses, expirations, and operational insights

This replaced fragmented email-based coordination with a shared system of record for visa application data, documents, status, and finance-related workflows.

Chrome extension for visa lodgement automation

Technogise also built a custom Chrome extension to automate the transfer of collected application data into Australian immigration websites.

This addressed a specific bottleneck in visa lodgement: manually copying information from the platform into government forms. The extension reduced repeated manual entry and helped lower the risk of errors during form submission.

Automated reporting and operational visibility

The platform included automated reporting to give teams real-time visibility into:

  • Visa application statuses
  • Visa expirations
  • Case progress
  • Actionable operational insights

This gave HR teams, immigrants, and legal professionals a clearer view of application progress and reduced dependence on manual status tracking.

Technology stack

  • Frontend: ReactJS
  • Backend: AWS Node-based architecture
  • Database and search: DynamoDB with OpenSearch
  • OCR: AWS Textract
  • Integrations: Xero for invoicing, SurveyJS for forms and PDFs

Result

Technogise helped the client move from manual, email-heavy coordination to a unified visa application platform.

The engagement produced concrete operational improvements:

  • Redundant manual processes were eliminated.
  • HR teams, immigrants, and legal professionals could collaborate in one platform.
  • PII sharing moved from email into centralized, secure document management.
  • The platform supported compliance with global standards for secure data handling.
  • Invoicing and budgeting became available from the same interface through Xero integration.
  • Configurable workflows helped the platform respond to changing immigration requirements.
  • Automated form-filling reduced manual errors during visa lodgement.
  • Reporting gave teams real-time visibility into visa statuses, expirations, and actionable case insights.

Client leadership expressed satisfaction with the platform's ability to meet evolving requirements and improve efficiency.
